Hi everyone. I'm another newbie! I've done some unsuccessful searches through the various forums, so I hope I'm not repeating a question. I can get this compost from an organic garden-bed supply place called "Soil Rejuvenation" so I thought that was a good place to start! The description says...
Produced from plant material, High in organic matter, Low in available nutrients, Free of weed seeds, Beneficial soil biology, Free of harmful pathogens, Fine texture...
1) Do you guys think I can use this as a EI Method base layer? Of course I'd soak and rinse it several times first.
2) Should I mineralize it too? or
3) just mix it with an inorganic substrate with a high CEC?
