I started mine yesterday and am pretty confident in growth as I've done it before. Thats why I'm risking

im not sure which ones can grow emmersed or only submerged

The tub will be sealed. The only thing i have to worry about is a hot day or them drying out. Other than that emmersed is very easy.

this erio is very easy to propagate and split for being so small. Came from 1 plant and now I've got 5 half plants

This projects going be an easy success up until past spring to summer time when it gets hot. I may plant plants when it gets hot back into the tank. Or try keeping moisture up or something. Despite florida melting away, rest of the plants are good.

Going to upgrade to a 40g breeder emmersed tank, seal it with ceran wrap


Easy as that, just soil moisture and natural indirect sunlight. I don't even mist or anything, just keep it sealed, the perfect almost free, almost maintenance free

This is will be my next project when I gets one time. I already have two humidity domes from a local hydroponics shop. I now need to decide where to put them and what to start with.

Its full on summer now and hot as hell. my tubs were torn down, but i have two emmersed setups a 15g and a 40gbreeder. 40 g breeder is indirect sunlight during all phtoperiod and the 15g gets full son partially of the tank maybe about 40% of the tank maybe 2-3 hrs of the day, both setups are doing very well. Moss tends to dry in the 15g where full sun reaches. Plants always coming and going through these so..


These are old pictures of my 15g when i had buces in them. Clearly they just been misted, for lack of care i have stopped doing that. in the 15g there is a layer of water in there.


Simple maintenance, choose to mist or not, but always keep contained/sealed to keep the humidity up. More light more water required or your emmersed plants can easily dry out.

What is a good temperature range for these to be at?

Looking good I aim for mid 70s and have never had problems, as for a pacman frog Dennis if the temp is anywhere between 72 and 85 degrees. Upper 70s to low 80s you should good

Thanks for info Jason, won't be going pac man. I need something good in Cali weather. I used to catch frogs and toads around native.
