In my opinion and many others - not! That will be very bad for all bacterias inside the filter media and also you can damage the impeller. That`s why people connect CO2 DIY reactors with outlet.

When you connect a DIY CO2 outlet to any device that has water flowing through it, make sure you aren't setting up a venturi effect that will suck the contents of the CO2 generator into the tank. People do use their canister filters to chop and mix CO2 with water - depending on the brand of filter some have great success, others have many problems. I have never felt it worth the risk to try it.
