Hey guys, can anyone direct me to some reliable/correct information regarding some causes of an algae bloom? And what are some symptoms that one can use to diagnose?

Thanks! So is this following claim acceptable?
Claim: Algae Bloom is caused by high phosphate and nitrate levels and can be diagnosed by suddenly cloudy water. Prevention involves frequent water changes after substrate disturbances and correct dosage of ferts.

No. I have high nitrates and phosphates all the time but no algae or cloudy water. waterchange after substrate disturbance and adding enough ferts is advisable.
