I have wondered why we capitalize both letters of acronyms such as GH and KH, but do not capitalize the "p" in "pH".

I've also wondered what "pH" stands for. I've heard "potential hydrogen" and "power of hydrogen". Is that current?

    Thanks.

    From the net:

Interesting that Dr. Sørensen wrote it as "PH" instead of "pH."
