I have been working lately for Bronson Pinchot, you may remember him as Balky from Perfect Strangers.. I do all the upholstery for the show, and will appear in about half of the episodes this season...

although it does not match the 1820's style of most things in the show, Bronson may want a fish tank built into the wall, this would be put in one of the episodes... I would be really excited to show off my scaping skills if he decides to go ahead w it, I would just have to make it pretty low maintenance, possibly just a nice hardscape with some showy fish, discus etc, depending on his water...

anywho, the show premiers tomorrow night (Saturday) at 10:30 on the DIY network, I hope you check it out!!! I will be on the 3rd or 4th show and then most of them for the duration of the season...

it just happens the Producer is a fish/plant nerd too with a 55 gallon with killies and an emersed growth area : )

Nice! I am an avid watcher of DIY. I've been seeing the the commercials promoting the show. That would be cool if he does it. Hope to see your scaping skills!

check it out, I'm on this interview for Good Morning America!! I they didnt use any of the footage with me talking... I am sitting next to Bronson while he is explaining what we are doing with an antique burlap sack for one of his projects, I am in the red/white shirt and black and white knit hat about 1 1/2 mintues into the interview...

watch the show tomorrow night for my first of 3 appearances, I will be making a valance on time lapse with Bronson and possibly some other footage..

also almost all the furniture in that interview was done by me, the cool looking low corner chair with the L shaped back was one of two I had just delivered that morning..

what'd ya think Jerry? I was happy with the way I was presented on the show.. next episode should show how they "discovered me" and also have some footage from down in my shop doin an early 1800's camelback chair, and also should debut a cute little blonde designer friend of mine I got on the show.. she did alot of the window treatment towards the end..

I was @ a stop sign and saw them filming Bronson picking some weeds,(I didnt recognize him) I thought it was odd there was a big camera crew taping someone pulling weeds, so I sat to watch for a minute, Bronson saw me at the stop sign and gave a big wave, so I rolled my window down and asked what they were up to, he came over w the camera crew and we chatted for a few, it turned out they were looking for an upholstery guy! so after a couple hours of filming they sent me on my way with although I was not aware of the value at the time, a chair frame that Bronson had paid ~$10,000 for, he admitted later he was a bit nervous that he had just given a $10,000 dollar chair to a complete stranger that live 90 minutes away... the chair came out great, and I became part of the show : )

One of my first jobs was doing upholstery for Vans and custom vehicles. Then Furniture and piano restoration. Good work. Nice to see what can come out. I suppose collecting driftwood is similar for me today.
I suppose I restore aquariums?

lol, I think calling what you do restoring would be taking it down a knotch, IMO, you do magic with aquariums! The tanks you do are amazing, I can only think there must be some sort of magical powers in there somewhere ;)
