A very diluted Excel dip should work.. I don't think it would hurt the probe but am not SURE.

I recently did a large excel dip of my hardscape and a good dosing remained after the water change. my ph probe was pretty bad before but was clean as a whistle later. Still seems just as accurate as before....

So please feel free to confirm or wait for advice from someone smarter....:)

Shouldn't take that long..

I learned this from Oakton.

Use tepid (say around 90F) acidic reference solution (e.g. pH 4.01) and place the probe in it for at least 20 minutes (I leave it for more). Then rinse with deionized water and finally store with neutral (pH 7.0) reference solution

It works pretty well.
