So here is a little info about my tank. i have a 90g planted tank with 120lbs of eco complete and 30lbs of flourite mixed into it. i run a 3x 54w t5ho catalina fixture for 8hrs a day. i have a 5# co2 system running for 8hrs a day. it comes on one hr before the lights do and goes off an hr before the lights go off. i run a aquaclear 70 and a 303b sunsun canister. i have a 550 hydor power head and a 425 hydor power head. i used an atomizer atomic GLA diffuser and run my co2 at 2-3 bps...my drop checker is on order.

ever since i started running my co2 ive decided to start dosing ferts. I have been using a sample of the aquariumfertilizer.com micro macro mix a friend sent me. i dose 5ml for ever 50g every day and do 50%wc every week. my plants have been growing really nice. im running aout of this sample bottle and cant decide if i should buy a micromacro mix or buy all the ferts seperate. or maybe just buy the mix and a couple extras in case i need to dose a little extra of everything...

what do you think i should do? the micromacro mix contains 4 equal parts of potassium nitrate, potassium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and plantex CSM + B

or i could buy the potassium nitrate, potassium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, plantex csm+b, mono potassium phosphate all seperate. but if i do that idk how im supposed to mix it unless it comes with directions for each fert.

if you all see any thing i should do, know or something im doing wrong please let me know i really dont know much about this whole thing... ILL LEAVE YOU WITH A COUPLE PICS OF MY TANK AND THE ONLY DEFICIENCY IVE NOTICED (hygro compacta the older bottom leaves have little brown spots and seem to melt away and fall off)

Both suggestions could work. It's up to you if you want to able to have control of every nutrient separately or not. There's no real matter of what you HAVE to do. It depends on how you mix it. If one nutrient gets low, you have to add more of every nutrient (the mix) to compensate. If you mix according what the uptake is, it will be ok.

Looking at the pictures, you could add more CO2 and some K+.

I'd add this amount to start:

KNO3 = 3/4 tsp 2-3x a week
GH booster 1.5 tsp 2-3x a week
KH2PO4= 1/2 tsp 2-3x a week
CMS+B, I'd make a solution of of, say 1 liter of hot tap water and 2 table spoons of CMS+b. Add 30 mls of this 3-4x a week.

The rest should be CO2.

I'd do more water changes , more %, up to about60-70%, say 2 a week if you feel up to it.
Later, back off and see how things go(1-2 months etc later).
