This is a research paper on evolution in algae.

ScienceDirect - Current Biology : Monophyly of Primary Photosynthetic Eukaryotes: Green Plants, Red Algae, and Glaucophytes

These are common paper types form evolution of many past ancestors and have greatly enhanced the evolutionary relationships within plants, fungi, animals, bacteria and every group.

While it answers many questions, new ones appear as to how, when, why, and some rather strange relationships and pathways in the distant past.

    It is a dense read.
