Hey guys,

Just about to get some stems of the plants above and was just checking to see what there key requirements are to growing them successfully.

My lighting is roughly 1.3wpg in a 500L/130g tank with the lights 29" from the substrate.

Pressurized co2 with 1 diy needle wheel and 1 reactor, EI ferts, and the flow is just under 10x tank volume.

Any pointers would be really appreciated.

Whats the current notion on the wpg guide are we still using it? I'm asking because of these species and whether i'll have enough light to grow them nicely enough.

If you are using T5 lighting, you are fine.

Are these species as co2 and light demanding as say limnophila aromatica and pogostemon stellatus?

These plants don't really need that much light. I grow these plants 20 inch high with around the same lights as you. It's more about adding enough CO2. More light might give more coloration, but also more chance of algae. it's a trade-off.

Yeah i adapted my pogo to grow in .8wpg but i've increased to just shy of 1.3wpg as new plants would take months to acclimatize.

Thanks all for the tips
