A few pics from today's visit to the Amano masterpiece.....
The music is a kind of slow almost melancholy tune(by a lisbon composer)...kind makes you feel sad that Amano is gone...a few months after this exhibit opened.
I took a guided tour of the Lisbon Aquarium, and the staff said this has been open longer than they intended....but they still keep getting requests to keep it open, and I suppose as long as ADA fans or the general public keeps coming in to see it(separate ticket than the main aquarium) it will be there....but certainly not indefinitely, since the Lisbon Aquarium has only this additional one space for "temporary" exhibits.

    SEE IT WHILE YOU CAN!

One thing I found almost moving about visiting Amano's last masterpiece was that the public visiting....most seem like regular "non-aquarium" folks....they just linger....in quiet awe of the creation. It was interesting to observe that reaction by so many people as they walk in.

Thanks for sharing the experience! There are many examples of Amano's work on the internet, but it's great to 'see' this through one person's experience.

Takashi Amano's first book started my interest in really committing to a higher level of art in aquarium design. His work is still endlessly inspiring.
