Algae wafers

    This may seem a daft question but....

    I now have my tanks under control so that algae is minimal and my nerite snails are struggling to find any.

    If I drop in an occasional algae wafer, do these contribute to algae growth?

    It never has in my tanks.. nerites will also eat zuccini
