Algae ID please

    It's slimy, doesn’t smell and grows rapidly.

    What algae is it and how do I get rid of it??

    Follow this link: Aquarium Algae ID (updated 16th Spet '08) and scroll down (or search for) "Spirogyra - Silk Algae, Water Silk." This is probably your algae. Looks like it might be fairly easy to control, though you'll have to manually remove it to begin with.
