Advantage 2000+ uv sterilizer?

I am looking to add a UV sterilizer to my setup - 120g, Eheim 2078 (490 max gph) I am considering this model, anyone has experience with it?:

In the description it says:

- Fresh water application: 200-500
- Salt water application: 75

Why would it be different for salt water and freshwater?

Sheesh another one I could have sworn I answered.

I believe the reason for the lower effectiveness in salt water is the higher refractive index of salt water over fresh.:gw

There is simply more stuff for the UV radiation to get through.
The stuff the UV radiation need to get through in salt water also just so happens to attenuate those wavelengths better than the longer wavelengths.

Technically the more stuff we add to our freshwater tanks the less efficient the UV-sterilizers are.
