Adding back hardness to RO water.

Hello All,

I live in ChiTown and the water here is pretty wonky (is that a word??)... The water in the area is mixed from three different sources, two aquifers and a local lake, so the water fluctuates quite a bit during the year. On top of that, with the iron issues, we have a whole house water softener that strips the hardness from the tank. I use potassium chloride pellets versus the sodium normally used in water softeners, but still have to add back stuff to keep the macro minerals at a reasonable level. In the new house, I'll be reconstituting RO to eliminate all the weirdness I get from water. Since I'll only use about 15-20 gallons for the water change, I was wondering what the best way to reconstitute the water would be. In the past, I have used Seachem Equilibrium to add hardness to the water and then buffer it accordingly. However, I'd like to find an easier way and wanted to get the board's input.

Thanks!
