    Dear Tom,

Could you please let me know what exactly are the differences (except for colour) between the 3 variants of Aquasoil. Also which subsrtae is suitable for what kind of aquascape. I searched a lot, read some old Aqua Journals too but then the difference is very hazy.

    Regards,

    Gautam

Sorry, but not everyone will be familiar with all 3 varieties.

Can you contact the mfg for more info?

    Wish I could help............

I wouldn't doubt that there are very little differences in reality. I bet it is mostly marketing :)

    Hi,

I've used all three kinds of Aqua Soil already. Stick with Amazonia. It is the most stable one. The Malaya and Africana will break down very fast in your tank and they have less nutrients.

    Regards

I do not plan on doing any analysis on the the others, just power sand and Amazonia aqua soil type 1.

So I cannot say much about the others.
