I thought I would make an emersed setup journal, for the benefits of others who want to try it for themselves and for those who like to observe them.
I hope ya'll like the journal and enjoy "observing" it lol.

Bacopa Monnieri is growing on the ground now! Swear that plant is a weed... I have to attempt to make some plastic separators for all of them as they are mixing with other plants...

Sorry for the foggy camera, it was so humid in there I couldn't clear it up!
Temps reached up to 98f today, I went outside to dig up some potatoes and holy cow, started sweating after the 3rd potato hole, then mosquitoes ate me up, then I ran to the house after I got what I needed lol!

Seriously wish I could get rid of more of these, I have another empty tub that ill put some more plants in. I tell you that tub with the hydro japan in it and bacopa monniere (and the ludwigia arcuata), is the fastest of them all. I got some scissors and split them all up and down the middle today. I stuck my hand in the hydro and it SANK into the plant, its about 1/2 a foot deep in that jungle... !
gets me thinking, @Jason can you do RAOK's on here?
And I couldn't help but take a pic of Ruby my German shepherd laying on the cool pea gravel :)

    Picture day ;)
Some tremendous new growth in such a short time, it gets a hardcore trim. I would have MOWED everything down if it weren't for the raok, so I must wait... Starting a new emersed bin FOR CRYPTS (coming soon!) (including crypt wendtii tropica as the main), so stay in tune to this journal for that. But for now until then (maybe a week from now..) your stuck with these... :p

    Ammania sp. Bonsai

    Hydrocotyle Tripartita

    Pearlweed

    Bacopa Carolinana

    Bacopa Monnieri

    Ludwigia Arcuata

    Ludwigia Rubin

    Ludwigia Repens

    Marsilia (something)

    Brazilian Pennywort

This thing cant wait for the RAOK to be done because after it is done, this will be MOWED TO THE GROUND!
And say hello to the new indoor emersed setup, still drying out and breaking down the soil a bit more, and I still have to jerry rig a light stand for it.

    Oh, the soil mix:
    Sphagnum moss
    Peat moss
    MGOPS
    MGOGS
And another brand name I forget, of garden soil
And that same brand, potting soil
    and additional vermiculite.

Sorry guys you will have to keep witnessing horrible photos! I was thinking maybe 1000$ or something but six????? maybe later in the retirement years.. (by then they will be antiques)

    Alright so I had an idea;
I figure one day I will forget all the names of these plants, because I will end up having over like 100 types... So I made identification cups ;)
Here is a small how to, its really not that difficult... (cup plus dirt equals IDENTIFCATION CUP!)
But I got bored so suck it up. >:D

Ok so first you want to, get a cup, like so
    [IMG]

Get some dirt in there, potting mix, peat moss, and garden soil, I didn't add anything else (like perlite, food scraps, etc) because the ingredients I put in there, that were in the dirt, were highly enough.

Don't be a wuss, get your hands dirty af while your doing this!

AND YOUR DONE :) just when you add those soil layers, give them a good mix, top off with potting mix.

    Now just pics:

Ludwigia Arcuata Seed Pod And Seeds (white dots)

THE S REPENS LIVES ON HOLY CRAP!!! OMG NO WAY!?!?!?!?!

I fertilizer the plants, simply by placing more soil (mixture) ontop of them, forcing them to grow through that mixture (or over) and placing roots in them.

    The New Plant ID Pots:
The tray has Yarrow growing in it I planted, its not for aquatic purposes, but bee purposes.
    Remember, live on a farm,
Got bees, turkeys (soon), chickens, ducks, rabbits, cows (soon), etc etc
    And a big...garden!
The greenhouse is for all purposes :)

    Hope you liked the small update;
    Nate

That's a pretty neat looking greenhouse, did you build it yourself? What kind of panels make up the walls?

tmrw ill take a full pic of it for you.
Yea its a DIY greenhouse. Its all recycled pretty much to all but the panels....
Panels are from Lowes (idk what brand exactly), And they are bolted and screwed onto an old carport. With wood reinforcements and braces.

Btw the S.repens has now doubled in size...
I guess it doesn't like super moist soil and likes more drainage... StRaNgE

I'm now growing 6 Hydro Tripartia (spelling?) cuttings in different cups...
All only have 1 root system (pretty much)
    How fast will they grow?
Vigro garden soil (1 to 10 ratio) and MGWCPS

CRYPT SETUP OMG CRYPTS 4 DAYZ (and one lonely scrawny stem of hygrophilia compacta...)
This tub was kind of a "screw up" because I put to much water in it, 0% drainage...
    yea.
So now I'm trying to drain it as much as possible but it is Very Difficult.
That pic above, is crypt Tropica, just got done doing its melting from being inside to the greenhouse,
So now its starting to get some new growth. You can kind of see the new leaves.

I know this Hygro. Is struggling... I wish I could move it, but I'm worried that if I did move it,
it would die due to the transition... Plus it would have to redo its roots and all again so.. Idk yet, opinions?

I had the names of these crypts, but I forgot.
So if someone could ID it would be super dope.
its the same crypt. As the one in my "Layers" aquascape.
    Thanks.

What's that brown & black species? It seems to be topped by very large ear-like leaves.
