8000K t5ho bulbs

Hi,

Are 8k t5ho bulbs better than the midday and the aquaflora ?

Probably not better. It's just a color preference. The Geismann bulbs are great and grow plants very well. The middays look too yellow to me and to some others as well. I would imagine that aquaflora and the midday in combination look much better and bring out the reds better.

Hi hbosman,

I have the midday/aquaflora combination right now but, I was thinking about the time when they need to be replaced. I was also thinking about the GE Starcoat 6500k b/c they are half the Geismann's price. My Geismanns are running for eight months now (8hrs/day).

Yep, about half the price.

I use GE 6500K. I like them a lot. Sylvania also makes a very similar lamp. People make too much of the K value. It does not really say too much about the actual spectrum of the lamp.
