I have a 75 gal community tank with fakes(ewww), and wanna switch to a low maintenance excel tank. I want to do minimal water changes if any. Looking at AH light /hood, but is the 2x55 kit enough light for a 75? I'd like to keep anubias, crypts, needle leaf java fern. What kind a foreground plant would be a good choice for low-tech/maintenance? Any help/suggestions?

Low maintenance and no WC would not be Excel. More like a non-carbon tank.

A better choice for lighting could be T12's or T8's at about 1.5 WPG

These are good choices for a low tech tank.
