Hell really frozen over:
This is a 450 Gallon we did a couple of years ago.

Yes, that is a real skull

Foreground is C parva.

Lots of intense fast swimming fish, yes, the P zebra will be removed.
Not my idea:cool:

The R side is getting over grown and they put in that dang Spadderdock, which needs removed.

Light is a bit higher and the CO2 is 2x what the other 1600 Gal tank is.
This tank is really health and has a few scaping issues, most the R and the Erio spot, but otherwise, has done well the last 2 years.
Owner has tended to the tank well. Good CO2, fish load and care.

That is really impressive Crypt parva growth. I've never seen it so thick over a large area, its very low too.

Almost too much fish action :)

Nice tank. Is this 450 Gallon? Looks more like half that size.

What's the PAR on this one? I"m using a bit higher light too (55 micromol) and I have to stress my two AM1000's to keep up with the demand.

regards,
dutchy

It's about 40-45 in the front here.
Uses T8 lighting and then a few LED's is all.

It gets many comments in the office.

Tom,

What type of T8 bulbs are you using please?

I don't see a skull???

Is that all anubias covering the wood at the surface? Or is it lobelia?

i found the old post, can you tell us what that means ( CO2 is measured and will be controlled via aprtial pressure meter and Neptune controller using the mV input and scaling the out puts to mV = 20 mV for each ppm of CO2. A 50 Ohm resistor is used for this conversion since input is in mA.)
whats a prital pressure meter?
thanks

Nice tank! And impressive c. parva growth (as stated).
What I want to know is how/why does your client have a real human skull? Who would want that in their office as a desk ornament? LoL There is prob a skeleton that wants its head back. ;)

Reall nice when people go all out, no expense spared.

I was just looking at an old thread on another site of this tank this morning with just the wood in place and was wondering what the progress was.

Skull is outside the tank, it's a real one.
Anubias is the plants, there's no Lobelia.
I forgot what type of bulbs he likes.

There is no partial pressure meter, it's a method to measure a sealed water sample in a flask after a couple of days. the partial pressure will be the same and you can take your sweet time measuring the pH precisely in a known system with an accurate pH probe.

Think about it like a glorified Drop checker, but no color changes, for the pH, but a nice ph probe instead.

The CO2 meter output is in mV, this needs converted to ppm.
20mV, or depending on the probe, it could be 15mV(depends on the probe and calibration) = 1ppm of CO2.

No, he traveled to New Guinea and met with some head hunters with Conservation International.
They give you a head I guess if they like you, take one if they do not.
Seems fair enough.

Works well in business at the office as well.
Lead by example.

No one refuses the headhunter.......and lives to tell that they did.
Sometimes coming back with 2 heads is better than none.
