im going to be setting up a 112L planted tank , using pressurised co2 .

tank dimensions Lxwxh in mm are 800x350x400

so far ive decided id like

    background
    cambomba carolina 1 pot
    hygrophila diformis 1 pot

    mid/foreground
    alteranthera reineckii 1 pot
nymphea lotus zenkeri red 1 pot

    foreground
    echinodorus tenellus 1 pot
anubias barteri var. nana x1 to be tied to wood

but i just have the feeling something is "missing" or not quite right

ive been doing lots of research in terms of lighting co2 ferts circulation etc , but just dont have the know-how yet in terms of which plants look good together.

1 thing i know for sure is that i want a "carpet" in the foreground which im hoping to acheive with the E. tenellus . the difformis and cambomba i like the looks of but have chosen them more for speed of growth .

ive tried to choose plants that are a step up from low tech but not so overly demanding as to be considered "expert or advanced"

    any opinios/suggestions welcome .

You could use a mid- background plant that has a somewhat smaller profile, like rotala rotundifolia or ludwigia repens. This will combine well with the plans you have and are relatively easy to grow.

Those plants would give a nice addition to the plants you already selected.

lovley thanks . im thinking about swapping the echinodorus tenellus for hemianthus callitrichoides . i think it would make a better carpet as im intending on having corydoras. what do you think?
