10g planted filter?

I i have a aqua clear 20 (hagen 20) for my filter on my 10 gallon planted aquarium. I was wondering what the best filter would be for a 10 gallon like mine. I believe there is too much current with the filter i am using now. Is there a way i can convert the filter that i have so that there is less current. Thanks

A small XP1, Ehiem, Tom's all would do well and cost a wide range there.

You can toggle the Hagen's flow also, or modify the spill way with silicone, epoxy etc to chaneg the spill pattern.
