Choosing The Right Lighting (lumen/watt) Power For A 290gal Tank

Guys, as you may have seen in my other thread, I am building a new 95" (240cm) long / 290gal (1100L) High-tech tank. Upon much research I have decided to go with GHL ecosystem including their Profilux 4 aquarium computer, various probes, pump control etc. and, of course, the Mitras LX lights. I...

What Ppm To Shoot For When The Nutrient Is In My Water Source?

For low tech with no CO2, btw. I'm using Zorfox on custom solution. My bottles are 500ml and each pump doses 2ml. At the tank size of 10 gallons (so a pump per every 10 gallons.) About 1-2x a week on low to medium light. No fancy PAR rated lights, just generic LED floods or shop lights or...

I am in Phoenix and have been keeping fish for years. Gave up saltwater completely a couple years ago but kept freshwater. Until recently, I had only the occasional annubias or sword in my tank. I am now making the leap into the heavily planted tank.

    Caco3 For Kh

Minor issue that I can resolve through guess and check, but I'd imagine most that are using CaCO3 in their fertilizers are using it for the GH/KH and not so much the Calcium directly. It would be nice to have it switch to the KH as the target rather than the calcium. Or better yet, if you can...
