I once saw an article somewhere that explained how many ppm would be added if let’s say 10 drops were added to the aquarium. I saved it in a safe place  and it’s so safe that I can’t find it anymore!

Basically would anyone know how many drops should be added to get 1 or 2 ppm? I cannot get KH2PO4 in powder form here so I use Fleet Enima.

According to the EI we need to add 1/16th – 1/32nd teaspoon of KH2PO4 every other day, this is in dry/powder form. So how does it work in liquid form with Fleet Enima?

Thanks in advance.

I think you can use the "Fertilator" over at Aquatic Plant Central. Here's the link: "http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/fertilator.php?"

Good Luck, Bill

You can try this page. It has some good info on most of the chemicals. If you won't want to do the math your self, use the fertilator. You may want to verify your answer once, because a while back there was an error in the calculation for Fleet Enema.

I heard that fleet contains NaCl, dose it contain enough to harm plants?

Is there NaCl? Probably. It's a "Saline laxative". Will it hurt plants? Not if you're dosing to 2ppm of PO4. You're talking about .3ml per 10g of water for 1ppm. So that's .6ml per 10g. Or 3ml for my 50g tank...

Hi there,

I'm about to convert to EI (from a hodge-podge of dosing regimes) and I want to continue using my Fleet to dose PO4 until the dry chemical gets here from Watson.

The above dosage makes sense according other recommendations on this board. However, when I use the "Find the amount of target chemical from a given concentration" form on the Fertilator to determine 1ppm in a 50g tank, it recommends 28.29mL! Is the fertilator just screwy?

Thanks for any help,
Abigail

Re: Fleet Enima dosage

I've always had troubles with the Fertilator and fleet dosage though it is usually pretty close.

Here is the formula that I use for Fleet enema dosing:

1ml of fleets will raise the PO4 levels to 1.33ppm in a 100L tank. A 29g tank is approximately 110L (29g X 3.8L = 110.2) so 1ml of fleets should add about 1.2ppm of PO4 (1.33/1.10 = 1.21).

Not sure of the size of your tank, I just used 29g as an example for someone who had the question previously. I have been using Fleets for almost 2 years now and have yet to have a problem with the sodium content :)

Re: Fleet Enima dosage

Sorry for the late reply. That's a known issue with the fertilator I wish they would fix.
