Hi Folks, would like to find out how fast does your current CO2 setup return to optimal CO2 level (30ppm) from ambient level (3-4ppm). Tom's setup does that within an hour or so...does anyone have that kind of response time as well? :D

Re: Response time of your CO2 reactors

What is your bubble rate that you can achieve in 1 hour.

I currently give it 2 hours

my co2 and reactor come on at 8am and the lights at 10am.

Re: Response time of your CO2 reactors

jippalbert, I'm currently testing it (2"x12" external reactor driven by a maxi-jet 900 (225gph) and uses it to "on"/"off" the CO2 instead of a solenoid) and haven't got the results yet...

Tom's setup is hooked up with his light timer so I guess the CO2 comes on with the light. He gets a response time of an hour or so from ambient levels and maintains it throughout the day (~30ppm).

Are you able to hit 30ppm (max) with your particular bubble rate and maintain it throughout the day? A 0.0-0.2 pH difference should be good enough I guess but you should hit max CO2 level within an hour as the plants are still half-awake.. :D after the lights come on.
