Hi @BettaBeGood ,

The reason I asked about your micro-nutrients is I wanted to determine the ppm's of iron (Fe) that are being dosed. Based upon what I can find on the nilocg.com website and Amazon.com it appears you are dosing about 0.0266 ppm of Fe per 10 ml dose in your 40 gallon tank 3X per week. We will discuss iron if the increased level of magnesium does not resolve the 'twisting' of the new growth. The magnesium issue was the most apparent problem so we will continue to deal with that first and see what the next couple of weeks bring. -Roy

Ohhh ooooh..... @Seattle_Aquarist Roy
The color and new stem shoots on my Ludwigia Perensis <---sp) is looking like a BEAUT... Tomorrow is Tuesday WC day I will take test Wednesday morning of tank perimeters... Roy I have a API Master test kit... I also have a phosphorus test kit. Would you mind letting me know what you think of my tank, if I can provide that info?

Hi @BettaBeGood,

I can say that the leaves are looking better. More importantly, what are your thoughts on the tank? Are the plants growing faster?

The tank is definitely looking better since you been helping.. but when I compare my plant species with healthy ones of the same species. I can see i need to still improve... but leafs are looking better on some species. My Ludwigia Perensis, limnophilia Aquatica and Rotala Macandra Mini Butterfly are still suffering though. On these 3 species it seems the stems grows at normal rate but the leafs are deformed.

Rotala macandra mini butterfly is 1st pic
Pogostemon stallata second pic. In the pic you can see the new growth. But as soon as it gets a little bigger, it wants to stunt
Limnophilia Aquatica is 3rd pic. Stem seems to grow slow to maybe normal but no leaf seem to bloom.

Hi @BettaBeGood

The three pictures above show new growth and apical buds (side shoots) starting at most leaf junctions, good signs that things are improving. Many of the Rotala species do not respond well to nutrient dosing through the water column.

Hey Roy
Man im sorry... its been rough... I got laid off because of covid-19... but besides all that. Plants seem the same... honestly this Friday I have a package coming from Co2Art.. I had to purchase a duel stage co2 regulator. I have been working with a Wyin single stage Amazon regulator. The inconsistent bubble rate is the problem!!!! I'm injecting at such a high rate and the temperature change in my home has significantly changed the bubble count. I can literally watch my furnace kick on. I then notice the bubble count change and I can see my plants leafs begin to curl down and inward everytime... hence why I purchased the Co2Art duel stage regulator which will be here by Friday.
