Considering buying either the twinstar or Chihiros Doctor. Has anyone used one of these and do you think they work?

Sterilizer? Electrolysis of water provides hydrogen and oxygen.
Benefits of more oxygen could be a real thing.
I'd need a real good story to make me believe the sterilize part.

I bought the Chihiros dr for the extra oxygen, I think my shrimp are marginally more active when this is running. I don’t notice any effects on algae, algae even grows right on the device itself at times. If it sterilized anything I’d imagine your plants and animals would die. Plants use oxygen at night, so perhaps this helps a bit. The unit turns on every 10 minutes or so and it looks pretty cool with the white micro bubble mist that comes out. I don’t know what benefit the hydrogen gas has.

Tom Barr talks a bit about it here.

I think for the price I may just try the dr chiros I guess even if the fish and shrimp are happier from the addition of O2 it can't hurt
