hi Tom, new to the Forum so don;t know the rules. Just wondering if you would split up the grouped driftwoods and sell them individually. Say only the right hand one on Image number 11.

Thanks,

M.

I sent a PM to Tom a few weeks ago, just wondering if it got through, or if sent it wrong. Thanks and sorry.

I was out for a week, son got married.

12 is not, a few others, but generally, even if I do not have the exact piece, I have something similar, I'm not going to put up 400 pics of wood, inventory and picking through by local folks who come over.....it's a bad idea.

I likely have 500-1000 pieces. And then a ton or so of smaller fragments and such I add to orders and for the 50$ boxes shipped.

Folks that want a box lot for say a few shrimp tanks, I can do a bulk small frag box stuffed for a really good deal.

Vendors/resellers, the pallet is the way to go.

As someone who uses this in scapes, I have a very good eye and idea what folks are looking for.

If you do not see something you like, send me a google image of a tank you do like or a pic etc.

So, this will be my all important 5th post. I'm planning on pm'ing Tom to see which piece he might recommend as a focal point for my first real planted tank, which will be in a 40 breeder. Although, I do plan to scavenge around our backyard canyons (Wastach Mountains in Utah) to see if I could find some branches/ roots of my own.

With that said, does anyone know what kind of wood is ok to use in an aquarium and what is not? For example, if you were to submerge a piece of dead wood you found and scratch its surface with your fingernail and it easily makes a dent, does that indicate that the wood is too soft and will disintegrate in an aquarium fairly quickly?

Any of you have experience in using the wood you found?

Or, can someone direct me to a thread that talks about this?

Hi Tom, I am interested in piece #30. But I see there has already been some interest from other folks. Is it still available?

Hi Tom,

I have a 55 gallon dirted tank with black sand substrate and with a black background. I'm making it high tech and plan on it being heavily planted. I think I want one or two large pieces. Do you have any suggestions?

I like this one here, specifically the opening in the right side of the tank.

Those are easy to mimic as far as driftwood pieces, but a 55 gallon tank will not have that depth the tank you listed will.

Tom, I am curious if you have something that could work for this layout below. I am going to do something similar with koke stone, but looking for wood.

Doing something similar on a smaller scale in a 40b

Hi; If it's still available, how would #35 be shipped, please?

Oops. N/M. I see it would be shipped via Greyhound. We don't have a Greyhound station w/in 50 miles of us. Would that be the only option for shipping?

Hi Tom - new to the forum but I wanted to say thanks for providing quality driftwood to so many hobbyists! Can you tell me more about what is in the $50 boxes? And is it $50 for the wood and shipping?

I also have a 55 gallon I would like to scape - can you give me options/pricing on wood that would fit that is similar to 38 or 52? This is my first post so I am not able to PM yet...
