I'm having a problem with shrimp and snails getting into my prefilter. I'm looking to buy a strip of stainless steel mesh for my LifeReef double-sized overflow box to keep them out. I need a piece about eighteen inches long and two to three inches wide. I've had no luck finding any locally.

If anyone has a piece they would like to sell, please let me know.

Hello angus,
I don't have any extra but I bought mine on eBay. They have smaller sizes that can just be trimmed to size.

This is a pretty good price for #8 SS mesh, 12"x12", and low shipping:

http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-5...0001&campid=5338187531&icep_item=191240171101

The holes in the #4 mesh are too big and the #8 are a little too small, I wish they may a #6 mesh.

The count refers to the number of holes per inch.

I think mine is the #10 mesh as I have cherry shrimp and wanted to keep them out. If it's just for fish the #8 or even 4 will work just fine.
