Can you guide me on installing an inline CO2 atomizer?

I want to replace my glass/ceramic diffuser. I think I am wasting a lot of CO2.

I have a canister filter that is plumbed to a 55 gallon tank via bulkheads on the upper back of the tank.
The drain is a 1" bulkhead, and the return is a 3/4" bulkhead.

I want to add an atomizer to the return 3/4" pvc pipe.
I have an atomizer with an outer diameter of 22mm / 16mm inner) OR (0.866"/0.629").

What is the best way to plumb this inline without losing much flow from the filter?
Has someone documented this process on this board before?
Should I not bother with the inline atomizer? If not, is there a simple inline CO2 reactor that works well?
I'd prefer not to add another object or pump to the tank.

Thank you for any help or guidance.

Clear canister reactor, Rex grigg, a separate loop with cerges reactor, inline up aqua/ GL aquarium/ cal aqua labs. Anyone may be of good use to you.
If you use line , find one with a inner diameter similar to your plumbing.

Atomiser

Not necessarily.

As long as your atomizer does not restrict the outflow/ inflow there should be no significant flow impairment. This would be trus for a inline diffuser. Others, depending on the difference between the tube bore may do so.

See the Hagen–Poiseuille equation to get some idea of flow through and for a fluid system.

e.g. - a 16/22 outflow should have this - Up Aquarium Co2 Atomizer System Diffuser 16/22 mm Reactor, as an example.

I bought a relatively cheap Eheim 2213 filter and installed the atomizer on it. This way I have redundant filtering and don't reduce the flow of my main filter. Before that I had the atomizer on my Eheim 2274. With two filters now I get a great surface ripple, which is great for degassing co2 during night.
