Chandler, Az
I will be getting a new tank in a couple of weeks and will be doing the dry start method in ADA AS. What I don't know is what plants I will use. I am considering HC, UG, and DHG mostly because the are so darn easy to spell (and I have had success with these before :) )

I'm curious if there are other plants that work well for a dry start? What are your favorites? Do you just do carpet plants or do you mix in stems, swords, or others?

HC is the better one of those 3.

Most plants do pretty well.

I imagine the Micranthemum 'Monte Carlo' would be a great candidate as well. I'm growing it emergent now and it converts easily from one form to another.

I tried it with DGH and I don't think there is much benefit from a dry start. Downoi really took off with a dry start and good light.
