Yes, that regulator will work, but you will need to change out the CGA540 to a CGA 320. I've bought from that seller before, and the unit was functional and in good shape (surplus). Here is where you can buy a chrome plated brass nut/nipple:

Use Teflon tape when installing the new CGA 320 stem.

That HPT500 is chrome plated brass with stainless diaphragms. They retail for $400.00USD

Those gauges don't match on the regulator in the picture. Not a big deal, though. as long as they are functional. YOu can always get replacement gauges if you want them to match. The working pressure gauge on the left is the original. The one on the right is either a replacement or was thrown on there. Make sure to check this one for leaks after building.

Awesome I got it and the nut and nipple, are there any good swagelok or ideal needle valves on ebay? my searching skills are not too good... Also does an Airgas store usually carry the fittings we require in stock or do I have to order them?

I'll be selling at least 1-2 nice dual stage regulators in the next 3-4 weeks or so.
Mostly chrome plated.

Darn I just got the SGT500, now I'm looking to build the post body. I'm thinking a Burkert 6011 Solenoid, but haven't picked a needle valve yet. I'm using a needle wheel feeding to a reactor at a pretty high bps using an eshoppes wet dry and cpr overflow. I would really like a vernier handled needle valve.

Good choice on the Burkert solenoid. You'd have to buy the Ideal Valve directly. They rarely if ever end up on ebay--at least the ones we use. Pm me if you need help with sources. Sounds like an exciting build.

Ok cool thanks Matt, I like the ideal valve but I'm not sure if im ready to drop 100$ on it yet, is there a swagelok valve that would be the best for my purposes? Will I want an "s" series or an "m" series? This is my first build so I'm a little intimidated but hopefully I can figure it out as I go along.

I have a few, the Mesa's are 475$. 820$ regulator, 0-30psi out put. Ideal or Parker valves.
SS Burkets, they are the 24V I got from other builds, this is all new stuff.
The Check valves(slightly used) and parts are Swagelok SS(new).
3/16" barbed ends.

Nice regulator.

I have 2 of these, the difference is the needle valve.

I might sell one of the Swagelok builds.
Will not be cheap though.

I also have a cheaper dual stage SS, I think 400$ ought to be good for that one.
Has a Swagelok valve and then a post ADA check valve.

Then the ProStar dual stage chrome plated brass I think, with the parker SS valve, SS burket, but brass fittings and check valve.
350$

I will be testing them tomorrow and posting pics.
