Undemanding plant with needle-like bright green leaves, capable of growing in both high and low light. Although somewhat similar in leaf shape to Cabomba caroliniana, the plant can grow in lower light. This plant is mainly taking nutrients from the water column, the root system being very underdeveloped. L sessiliflora plant is a good indicator for low iron levels, so keep an eye for yellowish growing tips. The faster it grows the longer the inter-nodal lengths

Once the plant reaches the top it will produce numerous side shoots. Given the rate and ease of growth, this plant is a great plant to practice and learn trimming on.
In aquariums, this plant should be used in large groups in the back of the tank, more suitable in lower light tanks. Please check your local legislation regarding this plant and dispose in an environmentally conscious way.
