Day 9 update:
Myrio continues to grow- a couple of inches more and I will do the first trim, so I can create a compact bush. Rotala is continuing to transform- not quite sure what to do with it, so I am going to just let it grow for now. Tiny new leaves are sprouting from the crypt melt, so that is a pretty fast recovery if it keeps going. Nice new leaf already on the anubias.
Everything is growing in one way or the other except for the Ludwigia arcuata. I am wondering if it might make sense to pull out the branch until the arcuata is more established, just to make sure it is getting enough light?
Water parameters:
pH: 6.8 at peak lights, 7.5 in the morning
Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrate all still at 0 ppm
GH 8
KH 3
Dosing macros M/W/F, trace (CSM+B) T/Th/S
I used Dr. Tim's Nitrifying Bacteria, but still suspicious that ammonia and nitrites are at 0 after 9 days. I added some fish food on day 5 and 7, plus I had the crypt melt, so I don't know... maybe I will add some nerites and see what happens.
Some small traces of brown/diatoms, but no major bloom.
Reminder- my substrate is organic potting soil, covered by flourite, capped by the tiny gravel/sand you can see.
Comments, critiques, suggestions all welcome!
FTS- you can see how much the myrio has sprouted
AR and repens is still doing well, hopefully the AR will continue to redden
Myrio
Rotala, doing its thing
Ludwigia arcuata, not doing much of anything
Baby crypts
Algae/diatoms
