is their a DIY route to a Light hanging kit? I just moved into the house today and one of my lights I have just sitting on the tank and its really bright, so im looking to make something that will, hang the lights higher.

I am looking for something that hangs directly from the ceiling, but I haven't even decided on the exact lights I am going to use yet. I am a bit overwhelmed, tbh.

Just an update on this:
I used just regular small chain and it worked fine, you can see it in the pic....

Used a couple S hooks to hold it all together (one end to the other) and it did super fine. Notice: Make sure you have hooks that can hold your lights weight... I used the 30lbs but I would have gone with 50lbs if I could do it again.

Looks very nice. I have a Radion that I'd like to hang. I'm using the arm that attaches to the tank at this point, and it's a little close to the tank. If I could get the light up about another 6 inches I feel like I'd get better spread. Only problem is my ceilings are 9' and that seems a little high to hang lights down. My wife would probably also shoot me in the face since the house is new. I may try to figure out something that attaches to the stand.

Yea I liked the sleek look to it, very smooth... could you use wood for a small not heavy light as well? I suppose.... hmmm...
You can also do much the same thing using copper piping and soldered elbow fittings. I don't know which way would look best. And, of course copper piping is now very expensive. If I ever need to suspend a light again I may try the copper method. It is only usable for light weight lights.
